International Day of Struggle Against Fascism and War!
August 31, 2026: ICOG's Call for Anti-War Day on September 1, 2026: On this day, as thousands of workers and young people demonstrate worldwide, the International Coordinating Group (ICOG) of the International Automotive Workers' Coordination , on behalf of auto industry workers who met at a conference in Pune, India, in November 2025, calls for intensifying the struggle against a dangerous escalation of imperialist capitalism that threatens the planet.

In the face of the crisis of the old world order, Trump is attempting - whether through economic means such as tariffs or through violence - to impose a new order under U.S. hegemony. The laws of imperialist domination and capitalist crises lead to inter-imperialist rivalries, conflicts, wars, fascist threats, environmental destruction, and nuclear risks.
Zionist Israel, with U.S. support, is committing genocide in Gaza and expanding the war to the West Bank. They are attacking Iran. The U.S. and China are in conflict over the South China Sea. The aggression against Ukraine is intensifying. Trump’s interference in Venezuela—including the arrest of Maduro—the threats against Cuba, and the interference in Brazil’s electoral process are all part of his offensive.
The imperialists are incapable of offering humanity an alternative or prosperity. Nor can the far-right governments that have gained influence in the face of the system’s collapse—such as in Argentina, Colombia, Italy, Turkey, and other countries. What they offer us is increasing misery, wars, and migration, affecting tens of millions of people worldwide.
We thus face the real danger of a world war, which is in the interest of neither the working class nor humanity.
On the other hand, the climate catastrophe is intensifying through earthquakes, floods, fires, and heat waves—a reality denied by far-right governments. At the same time, the working class suffers from brutal exploitation and mass layoffs—such as the more than 100,000 announced by Volkswagen—as well as from environmental destruction.
There is resistance to this: Workers are organizing against layoffs. Global solidarity with Gaza is growing, as is the mobilization against environmental destruction. Millions of people are migrating to escape misery and war, while Europe is turning into a fortress.
We call for the greatest possible international unity among workers in the struggle against all imperialist wars. We will not accept that, in the name of profit, jobs, lives, the environment, and our youth’s hope for a future continue to be destroyed.
Only workers, through their mobilization, are capable of preventing the continuation of this catastrophe that threatens our time by building a force capable of defeating and destroying this system and putting an end to capitalist exploitation.
Down with imperialist wars! Workers don’t shoot workers!
