Statement of the Workers’ Syndicate of the Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company

AWNI, July 1, 2025: The Workers’ Syndicate of the Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company Condemns the bombing of Evin Prison and Demands the Implementation of the Law on the Release of Prisoners in Wartime. The Workers’ Syndicate of the Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company, with the utmost regret and anger, strongly condemns the Israeli airstrike on Evin Prison, which resulted in the injury of a significant number of prisoners and the killing and wounding of several staff, including medical staff and conscripts. This attack is a clear violation of humanitarian principles, human rights, and the legal obligations of sovereign institutions to protect the lives and security of prisoners.

Recent information -1- in preparation for the 3rd International Automotive Workers' Conference from November 20 to 24, 2025 in Pune, India

March 6, 2025: 1) The International Coordination Group of the International Automotive Workers' Coordination is organizing the concrete planning and preparation of the conference. At a joint meeting in Pune, India, in January, we were able to discuss and harmonize the fundamental pillars of the conference in more detail. Important decisions were taken on the further preparation and implementation of the conference. We visited possible conference rooms on site. The preparation and implementation of the conference was agreed with the trade union federations SEM and TUCI.

Setting the course for the 3rd International Automotive Workers' Conference

February 3, 2025: The International Coordination Group (ICOG) elected in South Africa at the 2nd International Automotive Workers' Conference met in Pune/India at the beginning of January and made essential preparations and decisions to ensure that the important international conference, the 3rd International Automotive Workers Conference, is well prepared and can take place successfully.

General attack by the VW Group on European workers

December 5, 2024: IAC-VW-Group-Coordination: Dear friends all over the world, my name is Peter and I am the international spokesman for the militant VW colleagues in the International Automotive Workers' Conference (IAC). I was elected at the 2nd International Automotive Workers Conference in South Africa. I would like to inform you that the VW Board of Management is carrying out a general attack on the entire VW workforce, at least in Germany. There will be redundancies in steel industry, at Ford, at many large suppliers such as Bosch and many other companies. A total of 300,000 are to be made redundant.
